How depressing this world is. I can no longer watch the news or read a paper without becoming depressed or angered at the oppression and hatemongering going on in this world. People have forgotten their ideals they use perversions of their ideologies, religions and nationalism. Are we not one race? A human race? Why do we split ourselves along national lines? Why do we harm and kill our fellow man for land, economy and the evils of the few? I wish I could answer all the questions racing through my head but it is never possible. Perhaps its a good thing I can't understand the hatred of those who use their race and religion as a means and reason for oppression but what pushes these people to such hatred? Some say its how they were raised but does that not conflict with our natural tendencies to be a peaceful people? Or maybe I'm in the minority and I want peace while the majority want violence? See where I'm getting at I keep raising question after question with no end.
Being a man of Marxist-Leninist ideology an ideology that promotes equality and peace maybe thats one of the reasons I can't follow or maybe its my Christian upbringing that suggests turning the other cheek. I am going to touch on ideological differences. While I am adamantly against the system of capitalism for its oppression of the majority but the minority I would not go out of my way to harm a capitalist but of course the opposite is true of the capatilists. Senator McCarthy sentenced several of my fellow comrades to prison for nothing more then being a member of the Communist Party! Did not our forefathers leave England because of the inability of the colonists to participate freely in politics? Yet Senator McCarthy hailed as a hero and savior by the right ruined the lives and jobs of the members of the CPUSA even though this is supposedly a free country where we can support whatever party we want! I can not understand the hatred one would have to have for their fellow man to ruin them in such a permanent way as Senator McCarthy.
Now onto religion where I have several glaring and obvious targets. First, President Bush who claims he is a christian yet he supports Free Trade Acts that will help the United States even more easily oppress foreign countries by making it possible to invade and hire their workers for below American minimum wage laws therefore robbing the said country of their workforce that could be used to improve their conditions. Nothing but Capitalist endorsed slavery and subjugation of another nation a long and continued condition of Imperialst Capitalism. Already we see riots in South American countries calling for their governments not to sign the Free Trade Acts but most likely these politicians have already been bought off by the US government and will sign willingly enslaving their nations to the whims of US corporations. The second group I would like to talk about abusing religion is the Islamic extremists of the world. Islam is a religion of peace and even the Prophet Mohammed said that Islam was a branch from Christianity and Judaism because they are of the book. Yet these "Islamic" extremists have obviously forgotten to read the Koran to know that these religions are not considered infidels but of course that would destroy their platform for hatred and religious superiority. If the Imams did their duty they would correct this and most do but the select few who support the extremists and have obvious chips on their shoulders call for the killing of everything not Islam as if its some kind of battle of cleansing resembling the Nazi Party of Germany. I can not understand their mentality because they obviously violate the tenants of Islam and willing kill themselves in such a fervor that you have to wonder what religion they believe in since its obviously not Islam.
Now onto Nationalism one of the worst diseases of humanity that effects almost everyone who does not keep a rational head on the situation. Why ones nation of birth is naturally better then anothers makes no sense! The said Nationalists would condemn racism in any degree but they will scream patriotic mottos and scream for the deaths of the enemies of their state! What hypocrisy is this? You can't condemn racism while promoting nationalism its an indefensible position! Though many defend it to the death. The United States has done a good job promoting to the youth a disgusting sense of nationalism with mottos such as: "An Army of One", "Either your with us or against us.", "America Defender of Freedom", "America a nation chosen by God.", "America is the only superpower.", "America love it or leave it", etc. These mottos are reminiscent of 1984 or even Nazi Germany. Our youth have been brainwashed when an average patriotic teenager is asked about an international situation involving the United States there are three solutions that come to mind: 1) Nuke them, 2) Invade them or 3) Who cares? Who cares indeed it seems the state is good at promoting obvious militarism or apathy. The über-Patriots of the coming generation are completely brainwashed yet seem to find others brainwashed when they suggest the corruption of the government. Those of any persuasion other then subservience to the ruling class find themselves under constant attack because any good American is a unforgiving patriot! Forget your morals, forget your Humanity and give up your feelings to the state! The state knows best so remember to fight their enemies in any way possible without thinking for if one thinks its a danger to society at large for you could see through the obvious smokescreen.
