Why did you start playing music?
Well, we all started jamming together in 2002. I think we were all 15. We pretty much just wanted to play music for the love of it. We had no idea we would get as far as we are right now, it's pretty amazing
What is your favourite aspect of playing live?
Playing in front of people is just way fun, the energy is incredible sometimes, even if the crowd hates us. We all love showing people what we've created and getting responses even if the response if horrible. We all love playing music and love what we make, playing shows just helps us present it. I guess you could say it's like when a little kid draws a picture that he/she is really proud of and can't help but run around showing it to whoever they can find. We're like that. Haha.
What inspired your band name?
Well, we were pretty much tired of trying to think of a band name, and our drummer, Brennan, saw on the news that some lady was "missing since yesterday." for some reason we were all like "Yeah, ok, whatever." Nothing really too cool about it. Hahaha.
Do you follow a process when writing your music?
We pretty much just jam, and from there we pick out parts that we like and start from there. We also wrote one song with the lyrics first. Our singer/guitarist jorge already knew how to sing it, we just needed to put music to it. Overall, we really dont have a process, we just play whatever comes to us.
How did the four of you meet?
We all met in Junior High; Brennan and Jorge met and Jorge introduced Luis (guitar) to Brennan and from there we started to jam and then got Mikey (bass) after a couple of other members had to leave
What was the first album you really got into?
Well, for me, Brennan, I was in the 5th grade and Prodigy just came out with Fat of the Land, that's pretty much the album that got me into music.
Was music your first choice of career paths?
For me, Brennan, it definitely was not at all, I was pretty much told as a kid that you can't go anywhere with music and if you do, it's only for a couple of years, so it never really crossed my mind. Then, I realized that music is the only thing I have and if this thing only does last a couple years, that is, if we do get big enough to go full time, then at least I did it and the memories will be there forever.
