2006, Equal Vision Records
This first official release from Goodbye Tomorrow opens with what has, unfortunately, become a fairly expectable uncharacteristic approach to album openers; a soft bit of organ playing augmented by an overplayed, almost melodramatic vocal line. This, though, is soon replaced by the usual combination of guitars, drums, and bass. At only three tracks, this is a certainly short EP, but it does well to define the sound the band is striving for. And, of course, while sounding fairly commonplace, it's not unusual for a band's first release to struggle capturing something unique that may -- or may not -- turn out musically enthralling.
