Guilty by Association or Inaction?

The United States has become bogged down in Iraq with the Senate refusing to lay down a withdrawal timetable while the Hawks in the Pentagon continue to throw working class citizens into the grinder haphazardly. What has been achieved? The government says Iraq is more stable but I don't remember under Saddam the madness that is Iraq. The United States has destabilized the region with its mad dash into Iraq with no clear exit strategy. The US has fallen into the same trouble that millions of empire before us have, not thinking. We have flexed our muscle and only proven that America is more concerned with making a point instead of fixing problems.

The Working Class are taking the brunt of this slaughter for the sake of "democracy" yet a new government is voted in yet we maintain our presence en force. The Pentagon says the Iraqis are capable now of defending themselves yet here we are still throwing young men and women into the grinder while they shout that anyone that does not support this war does not support the troops. I find that hilarious caring for a human being is now dependent on cheering on the thing killing them. The US loves to sacrifice the working class and they try hard at it with filling as much propaganda as possible in the Public School system. This is being called the Poverty Draft by the Political Left and Student Unions across the nation. Just turn on the tv channel made for the Public School system called Channel One at least more then 50% of the commercials are by the Armed Forces. Also anyone who has attended a Public School knows that Military Recruiters come at least 90% more often then college recruiters yet the government denies the intentional targeting of the working class. I call foul. The United States Ruling Class is deliberately targeting the youth of the working class because they don't have the money and need to pay for a higher education since High School is now a joke and even employers are becoming less inclined to higher high school graduates for lower skill jobs. This of course has to stop and the only way is to petition local schools to keep the government from "purchasing" replacements and newer models to replace those already slaughtered.

The US government has about defied every possible convention whether it be Geneva, ABM or even the treaty on banning of torture. Vice President Cheney has proclaimed that torture is not only necessary but is required since terrorists won't talk otherwise! Yet what he forgets is the people he is encouraging to be tortured are only supsected some on barely a scrap of evidence to those who actually surrendered in combat this is too huge a margin of people to blanket statement with. The average US citizen has remained idle as the Bush admin continues to alienate allies around the world and begin to close America off from the World. Just recently nations have admitted to hosting secret CIA "concentration camps" for people who could not legally be held by the US because of treaties it had signed. The United States has become the next third reich yet we continue to sit idlely by! The Bush admin has also said they would use nuclear weapons, chemical agents, etc. in pre-emptive strikes! When will US citizens realize the threat posed to us by this madness? Until we fire our weapons in anger? Or until we are devestated by a nuclear exchange from nations around the world? The Bush administration has become the only "Axis of Evil" in the world and have deliberately threatened nations around the world with no probable cause.

The United States comes up with the Axis of Evil right before the invasion of Iraq and why you might ask? Well take a look at the name of the opening Operation. Shock and Awe. This was made to scare Iran, DPRK, China, etc. into subservience. The Iraqi military still had not rebuilt from the slaughter of the First Gulf War and therefore posed no threat at all even though Pentagon officials blew the possible resistance of standard military operations out of proportion while underestimating the Iraqi people. The Bush admin idiotically thought the Iraqi people would be thrilled to be rid of Saddam but this has only heated up the racial tensions in the country with the different factions breaking into militias' via racial lines. The armed resistance we are seeing now is because we are not leaving like we said we would nor have we really tryed to even move a good amount of troops out of the country. Instead we have built permanent bases like an occupying army while giving contracts to US corporations to rebuild the Iraqi oilfields and get them pumping again. Instead of scaring our possible enemies it has only reinforced their opinions of us. Iran has built up relations with China and Russia and possible strategic alliances could be in the works. The DPRK has only become more outraged with us and is becoming harder to bargain with about Nuclear Non-proliferation. China is not impressed and probably laughs at us for our blatant and obvious tactics.

Of course what are we to do? Armed revolution perhaps? No the time is not right nor would it solve anything at this point. The point is to make our government responsible for their actions. Its time to put the people back in the government and not allow CEOs and backroom deals to rule the decisions of our nation. We will be guilty of the warcrimes and criminal actions of our government if we do not fix this problem either by association or inaction! The United States is in a sickened state an empire laboring for breath while the Rich continue to use their system of power and privledge while the base of it collapses under them without them noticing. The future is bleak yet we must stand and take this fight to the streets and the government we must remind them that we will not be blamed for the deaths of our own citizens and those of foreign countries. Its time to exercise our ability to recall on our elected officials and ask them what they are really doing and get a real plan for laying the groundwork for removal of troops from Iraq and Afghanistan as well as fixing relations with the World Community. We must organize and fix the problems in a peaceful and civilized manner because the situation is delicate. I do not want to be senetenced Guilty because I was inactive. The horizon is red and we must seize the oppurtunity to fix our past mistakes and let the government hear the voices of its citizens rallying for a cry to freedom and the end of oppression of nations of the world. Let them see us hand in hand as we march towards a better future and refuse to play their games.
